I’ve been playing music and writing songs since 2006, creating content and taking photos since 2017 and working in fashion since 2020. The vast majority of my world involves creativity. I am a big believer that everyone needs it, everyone wants it, and everyone has it. For those of us with creative passions that exist to be collaborative with others, making a job out of it feels impossible. Monetizing something you're passionate about might not be everyones end goal(though it sure is nice) but spending a Tuesday afternoon meeting other artists and working on something is the next best thing. So that’s exactly what we did. We got together a group of creators who either do it full time, on the side or just for fun, and we made something fun. The tricky thing I’ve come to dislike about the industry as a fashion stylist is it can feel so exclusive. It’s a million times easier to get a job when you know someone. It’s hard to get experience when the people hiring only want experience. It’s hard to make time for passion projects when you have bills to pay. The internet unfortunately is so insanely bad at showing the behind the scenes of it all. How to get into the industry you’d like to be in? How to make connections? What’s happening in the background? How many people are actually on a set when you can only see one person in the frame? The answer to all of those questions might not be black and white, but we exist to hear every perspective, meet new people, and create something cool in the meantime.
